This favorite treat of Spaniards can always be found at fairs and various fiestas, and also on their table for breakfast. Preparing churros is elementary, it’s simply impossible not to try!

Ingredients for 10 portions:

500 gr. wheat flour
500 ml. water
½ teaspoon of salt
Sugar powder to taste

In the water, stir the salt and bring to a boil. Pour a little bit of flour into it and mix it, so that there are no lumps. You can use a blender. Then the dough should be cooled, covered with a towel and the fun begins. Fill the confectionery syringe with this test. We take a skillet and we bring on it the olive oil for deep-frying to a boil. Squeeze out the dough with sausages, pretzels and any kind of butter and fry until crisp. Using tongs, we remove the finished churrs from the oil and dip it with a napkin. Done! In Spain, churros are served to coffee with milk or a cup of hot chocolate. The first option – in the bite, the second – as a sauce, where it is accepted churros dunk before biting off.
